J’ai le sentiment que j’ai finalement atteint mon but; celui d‘obtenir mon diplôme. Grâce aux encouragements et à l’appui que j’ai reçu de l’amour de ma vie et de mes enfants, mon retour aux études m’a permis d’apprendre à avoir confiance en moi.  Avec un diplôme d’études secondaires en main, j’envisage avec optimisme que d’autres portes s’ouvriront devant moi.  C’est avec beaucoup de gratitude que je remercie les gens qui m‘ont donné le courage de foncer et de persévérer dans l’obtention de mon diplôme.  Je remercie également toute l`équipe du CÉFEO de m’avoir toujours guidée dans la bonne direction. Having been asked to take a French refresher course for my job, I was informed by the Eastern Ontario Education and Training Centre (EOETC/CÉFEO) that their records showed that I had not graduated from grade 12. To obtain my diploma I was missing only 4 credits. I had spent 32 years working as a typesetter and not thinking twice about the fact that I had never graduated. It was a decision that wasn’t too hard to make, since this was something I had always wanted to accomplish, at some point in my life. I also wanted to show my grand-children that a person could go back to school at any point, even if it was just to prove that they could do it. Thanks to EOETC/CÉFEO, I spent the next 2 years working on subjects that helped me earn those missing credits and realize that I have the talent to possibly become a writer. So here I am, June of 2011, living a dream come true and making more. My experience with EOETC/CÉFEO was very productive and I would recommend anyone who has education on their bucket-list to make their dream come true. -Denise Lauzon (Disponible en anglais seulement)

My experience at the EOETC was great because I learned new skills to help me with my future career choice. The teachers helped me by giving me an opportunity to volunteer at the local veterinarian clinic. By volunteering at the clinic, I got a feel for the career I want to pursue. Because of EOETC and the support of the teachers in my class, I now know I want to be a veterinarian’s assistant. I am excited about my future career working with animals.
