Témoignages de nos élèves

Après avoir quitté mon boulot dans les Forces canadiennes, j’ai eu de la difficulté à trouver un autre emploi. Comme je suis père de famille, il fallait que je fasse quelque chose et vite. C’est pour cette raison que j’ai décidé de retourner aux études. J’ai toujours adoré les mathématiques et la comptabilité.

Aujourd’hui, j’obtiens mon certificat du programme de Commis en bureautique et en tenue de livres ainsi que mon diplôme d’études secondaires de l’Ontario. Je peux maintenant entreprendre une nouvelle carrière dans le domaine de la comptabilité.

Je remercie la formidable équipe du programme ainsi que celle du CÉFEO qui sont dévouées au succès de leurs élèves.

The day has finally arrived. I can say, “at last I am a high school graduate, diploma and all!" What a proud moment, and a proud sense of personal achievement!

It all started one day some time ago, I thought about taking lessons to learn how to use my new computer so I could keep in touch with my children and my grandchildren by e-mail.

I was excited the first time I walked into the school to register. This was school, and it felt good just to get a chance to learn. I had dropped out of high school way back in grade 9. I guess I was in a hurry to get a job and to live life out there in the big world. Now, I can’t stress enough how good it feels to be back in school.

It wasn’t always easy, though. Some of the lessons I found downright hard and after all, what did I need to do this for? I had other things to do at home, other commitments, the gardening, it’s just too much! – I know, I’ll talk to my teachers about it, I would tell them I can’t go on, they’ll understand. But there was just no quitting now. “If you have any questions, Sheila,” they would say, “come and see us.”

Now, after 2 years, I have completed my lessons, and I feel as though my life has changed. I love being a student, and I hope I never stop learning. I recommend continuing education to anyone who is the least interested in achieving personal goals.
