Every student can learn and can attain a Secondary School Diploma, a Certificate Of Studies or a program accreditation if we all contribute to keeping them focused on their goals while nurturing their self-esteem. The Student Success Initiative’s goal is to allow as many students as possible to graduate.

All of the EOETC staff have an ear out for the needs of their "at risk" students. We support them and accompany them on their road to personal and educational growth. Our flexible approach allows us to adopt those learning strategies best suited to the particular needs of each student.

The Student Success Initiatives teacher is one of many professionals working to ensure the success of every student. Our Student Success team identifies and works with many students in order to maximise their potential to achieve.

In order to support the Student Success Initiative, the EOETC adopts many strategies in key action areas :

• credit recovery
• focus on pathways-based course selection
• professional programs allowing students to gain high school credits
• cooperative education programs
• previous learning activities recognition

These strategies and many others (for example, the breakfast program) allow our students to maintain a high commitment level and to stay focused on completing their high school studies.
