| Student Services | | | Guidance counselor : Jean Laframboise The academic guidance counselor performs all or part of the following functions: - advises students and staff regarding academic issues such as choice of courses and programs;
- advises students regarding careers and professions;
- coordinates alternative work-study programs;
- organizes the services of a social worker and community agencies in supporting programs and resources;
- is responsible for keeping all student records up-to-date;
- evaluates Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition (PLAR) , which is the official process through which students obtain credits for their experience;
- is responsible for college and university applications;
- coordinates visits to and presentations by post-secondary institutions.
