| Rockland's Picnic | I was a beautiful day for the students and staff of Rockland to hold their annual "end of the year" picnic. Students and staff provided a potluck styled picnic and had much to choose from. Many participated in sports such as croquet, volleyball, football and frisbee. Everyone had a great time and the following pictures show just how much fun it was! A great thank you goes to the students and staff who participated in this fun event and made it possible! Enjoy your vacation, you deserve it! | |

Also, the students were impressed with the antiquity of the sandstone sculptures in the Asian section. It was great outing to finish the course. | |

| | Rockland raises money for Haiti | Staff and students united to raise money for Haiti. One generous student, Sanni Epstein, donated a lovely creation of her own, inspired by a town in Corsica that she had visited. The artwork was a collage piece featuring drawing on paper, overlaid with acrylic painting on plexiglass. Tickets were sold and the lucky winner was Lucie Piché. Some also contributed cash donations as well to add to our fundraising efforts. A total of $ 183.00 was gathered and sent to World Vision Canada in support of the people of Haiti. Good work everyone! | |

| | | Christmas in Rockland | On December 17, a Christmas party was held at the Rockland campus. It turned out to be a great success and everyone enjoyed the festive activities as well as the awesome buffet. The whole day was prepared by the Office Clerk Program group as part of their course content for the program. Line Lalonde and Geneviève Collins were the two instructors monitoring the students, but all the preparation was done by the students. After the meal, everyone needed time to digest and of coursed prepare for the rest of the activities. There was a gift exchange which all enjoyed immensely as well as games, music and just all and good fun. Sylvain Chatelain and his music students entertained the school before the lunch. The students sang some Christmas songs and were given a standing ovation. It was great to see and hear the students perform what they had learned and it was probably the highlight of the day. Kudos to everyone – students and staff members alike – and Happy New Year! Peace, love and happiness for 2010. | |
