Student services

The academic guidance counselor performs all or part of the following functions:

• advises students and staff regarding academic issues such as choice of courses and programs;
• advises students regarding careers and professions;
• coordinates alternative work-study programs;
• organizes the services of a social worker and community agencies in supporting programs and resources;
• is responsible for keeping all student records up-to-date;
• evaluates Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition (PLAR) , which is the official process through which students obtain credits for their experience;
• is responsible for college and university applications;
• coordinates visits to and presentations by post-secondary institutions.

• one of the following : birth certificate / baptismal certificate / passport
• Health card (OHIP)
