Welcome to the new web site of the Eastern Ontario Education and Training Centre (EOETC). The EOETC is an alternative education school for adolescents and adults. We are the result of a partnership between three of the school boards in Eastern Ontario (UCDSB, and two of its French language counterparts, CEPEO and CSDCEO). Our mission statement reads as follows: "The EOETC offers adolescents in the Youth Program and adults in continuing education programs innovative and flexible programs which will allow them to gain the knowledge, the skills, and the life-long values necessary to become confident, responsible and productive citizens of their community. " In order to better serve the needs of our Anglophone and Francophone populations of Eastern Ontario, our school is spread over four satellite sites: Casselman, Hawkesbury and Rockland. Our fourth site in Cornwall offers its programs in French. English-speaking students from the Cornwall area should consult the T. R. Léger School for a listing of its programs. The EOETC offers a variety of educational options and programs. All our sites offer a common credit program leading to the Ontario Secondary School Diploma. Each of our campuses also offers continuing education programs, general interest courses, literacy programs or programs leading to professional certification in a given field. I invite you to consult the programs tab of our web site in order to learn more about these excellent educational opportunities. Our greatly dedicated staff allows us to state unequivocally that our school values permeate everything we do: - Commitment - in the quality of education, the excellence of our programs and the dedication to the success of our students
- Professionalism - our flexible and innovative approach to individualized education
- Visibility - allowing maximum access to our programs and services
A school is much more than classrooms, teaching and students obtaining credits _ a school is a vibrant community. As you will see in exploring this site, our staff organizes a variety of activities throughout the school year in order to ensure that our learning environment is a happy place. No matter the language of instruction, all are encouraged to proudly express their cultural heritage and develop a better understanding of the treasure that is diversity. The school is organized in order to ensure that one and all are challenged to go deeper and further on their journey to learning. Our teaching staff, our support staff and our administrative staff work as one to sustain an environment where the success of each and every student is the main priority. I encourage you to fully explore our web site and to learn more about our resources and our support services. |
